T.G.I.F.: Shirley Temples

Hi sexy!
We are Friday and the week-end start! For now I'm pregnant so drinking alcool is a bad idea! So I thought to share with you a classic drink... Shirley Temple!

A Shirley Temple is a non-alcoholic mixed drink made with two parts: ginger ale and a splash of grenadine, garnished with a maraschino cherry.

Modern Shirley Temples are made with 7-Up , which is occasionally substituted in part, or in whole, for ginger ale.

This cocktail may have been invented in the 1930s by a bartender at Chasen's, a restaurant in Beverly Hills, California, to serve then child actress Shirley Temple.

So here's the 30's receipe:
2 parts of Ginger Ale
1 table spoon of grenadine
1 or 2 maraschinno cherry for garnish

The 2013 receipe:
2 parts of Seven-Up
1 table spoon of grenadine
1 or 2 maraschinno cherry for garnish

Enjoye!

Vintage tricks: Use lipstick as blush

Hi sexy!

Today I'll share with you an amazing beauty tip from my grand-mother. In the 50's she was in the 20 years old, so she knows something that I learn in my make up course... Using your lipstick as blush. In the 50's not all people have enough money to buy a lot of make up as today, so you've to be creative. By the way it's a good trick because your cheek and lipstick will fit your blush!

How to use your lipstick as a blush?
well simply easy! You've to put 3 dots of lipstick on the cheek and cheek bones. Than you take a tissue and blend it until the lipstick is totally fade and look like blush!
It doesn't work with long stay lipstick, you should think to use a creamy lipstick.

Hope you love that tip!

DIY: Pedicure like a pin up!

Hi sexy!
Here's a simple receipe for having perfect pin up feet!

You'll need baking soda, pumice stone and coconut oil!

· Begin by soaking feet in ¼ cup baking soda to reduce inflammation and cleanse feet thoroughly for 10 minutes

· Using a wet pumice stone rub heels thoroughly yet gently to remove dry callous
· Next, apply coconut oil to feet

· Finally, wrap feet in plastic and cover with soft socks for 30 minutes. The plastic and warmth will help the oil to soften the skin.

You will have the perfect feet!
You can also finish this care with a foot massage and of course a cute nail polish!

Fave TV Show: BOMB GIRLS

Hey sexy!

Each monday at 9:00 PM I watch Bomb Girls. At first the second season was the wednesday at 8:00 PM but change in March 2013 for been Monday 9:00 PM. Why Bomb Girls is my favorite show? First of all, it's began during WWII (World War II), in a bomb factory in Canada. The story talk about the war and the women whom worked in factory for helping the war and the country. Unfortunnally the second season will be the last! The style and the character was to adorable! I'm a huge fan. Global Tv give good advice for getting pretty vintage look like the main character's of Bomb Girls! I get it just for you right down!

How getting the look?

The '40s look:
the women in uniform

The turban was used to protect hair from getting dirty, tied around the head as tightly as possible. No pins were allowed in the factory, so women would arrive to work without brushing out their curls, after having set their hair in metal rollers overnight. At the end of the day the turbans were removed and the curls were brushed out and styled ready for a night out.

the women look

Make-up:
The face was very natural looking with a cream or liquid foundation applied lightly to the face. Blush or 'rouge' came in powder or paste form in a pink hue. The tone was brightened up for the night look.
Eyebrows were full and thick. While there was minimal plucking, the shape was still maintained. For extra definition women would occasionally use a brown pencil to fill in the brow for a more striking look.
During the day, only mascara was used on the eye with no eyeliner or eye shadow. For an evening look, muted and earth-toned eye shadows like brown and charcoal were applied to the upper lids and blended towards the brow bone. For added definition a white eye liner would be applied to the inner rim of the lower lid.
And of course, the look was finished off with lipstick. The lips were meant to look full and soft. The roundness of the lip was exaggerated by lining the upper and lower lip with lip liner and filling it with a red-based lipstick.
Women often matched the lip shade to their outfit; for example a warm colour palette required an orange-red lipstick, a pink outfit had a pink-red lipstick.

Fix your Lipstick like your granny!

Hey sexy!
Before the ultra stay or all long lasting lipstick, lipstick was not stay longer. But every Granny have a trick for stay longer the lipstick as usually! If you want lipstick to stay apply it like you usually would and blot, then take a ONE PLY (MAGICAL TRICKS ONE PLY!!!) tissue (if their more please rip the other ply away from the others) and place it over your lips then take your translutent face power  and gently brush it over your lips THROUGH the one ply tissue. It dries up all the oils that make your lipstick wear off and lasts all day!!

And it's work!
